Detail Specialization
After the completion of the airport project, each group member chose an area of the project they would like to explore in greater detail. Given the extreme weather in Iceland, I chose to design the bracing system for our curtain walls as it would be necessary to prevent damaging deflections from large wind loads.
Building Section
The curtain wall bracing will be located here, where the curtain panel system is 60 feet high. The bracing will also be used at all curtain walls that are 15 feet or taller.
